Baku responded to Tehran. On November 11, Seyyed Abbas Mousavi, the Ambassador of Iran to Azerbaijan, was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
“During the meeting, the dissatisfaction and concern related to the recent propaganda, defamation campaign against Azerbaijan carried out in the Iranian media and the threatening rhetoric of high-ranking political and military officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran, which does not correspond to the spirit of the relations between the two countries, was presented,” the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan reads.
Baku emphasized that it is unacceptable to spread such information and carry out actions against Azerbaijan in Iran, and it is expected that they will be stopped as soon as possible.
