The unblocking of all economic and transport ties in the South Caucasus is one of the key directions in the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, said Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrey Rudenko.
“In fact, it is about the opportunity for the two countries to reap concrete practical benefits from peaceful coexistence. “Russia is a direct participant in this process,” he said in an interview with TASS.
According to him, within the framework of the trilateral working group of deputy prime ministers, significant preparatory work was done to restore both railway and road communication in the region.
“Currently, a joint” package is being polished. ” “This approach will ensure the stability of the decisions made,” said Andrey Rudenko.
According to the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, the relevant agreements reached by the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on November 26 in Sochi gave the necessary impetus for the current joint work.
“We are focusing on developing the parameters of joint infrastructure initiatives and completing the launch of specific projects as soon as possible,” he added.
