In Paris, on November 10, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Andrew Schofer (USA), Igor Khovaev (Russia) and Brice Roquefeuil (France), the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs.
The interlocutors discussed wide range of issues related to the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Ararat Mirzoyan emphasized that the comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict can only be achieved peacefully, under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, based on the principles well knows by the sides.
The importance of the visit of the Co-Chairs to the region was recorded in the context of getting acquainted with the situation in place. During the meeting, the sides considered the implementation of clear steps directed to de-escalation in the region primary. Ararat Mirzoyan condemned the attacks on civilians in Nagorno-Karabakh, which led to victims, he also considered unacceptable the continuous anti-Armenian rhetoric.
Armenian Foreign Minister and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs exchanged thoughts on the humanitarian issues which demand an urgent solution. In this context, Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the unconditional repatriation of the Armenian captives of war, hostages and other detainees, also the clarification of the fate of the missing and the necessity of preserving Armenian historical-cultural heritage.
The same day, with the hospitality of the French Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian, under the auspices of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, the meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers took place.
During the five-sided meeting, Armenian Foreign Minister expressed the position of the Armenian side to fully recover the process of peaceful settlement of NK conflict.
