Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the leader of the Kemalist Party, the main opposition party in Turkey, said that Erdoğan will lose power in the upcoming elections, Ermenihaber reports.
He considered it possible that before the elections, the Turkish authorities will initiate changes in the electoral laws, which will prevent entry of blocs into the parliament.
“Erdoğan started playing with election laws in order to make his power continuous. But the truth is that the Government playing with electoral laws is transitory,” Kılıçdaroğlu said.
He insisted that Erdogan cannot set his priorities correctly, he is locked in the palace, cut off from the Turkish reality, and now he is thinking about how to maintain his existence in that palace.
“Irrespective of any amendments in the laws, Erdoğan will leave. The society does not want him either. There will be a change of Government during the first election,” the opposition leader said.
It should be noted that the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections in Turkey are envisaged in June 2023. President Erdoğan has stated several times that there will be no snap elections.
