Moscow is ready to continue contributing to the normalization of relations between Yerevan and Ankara and sees positive signals between the two countries. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova stated, TASS reports.
“We have registered an exchange of recent positive signals between Yerevan and Ankara. We mean, we recorded them in the context that we saw them, and we took them into account. We are ready to continue to contribute to the normalization of relations between the two neighboring countries in any way possible, based on mutual respect and taking into account each other's interests,” Maria Zakharova said.
The diplomat noted that the normalization of relations between the two countries will contribute to the establishment of peace, stability and development in the region, “especially in the context of the implementation of the declaration signed between the leaders of Russia, Armenia and Azerbaijan on November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021, against the background of normalization of the Armenian-Azerbaijani relations.”
