In recent 11 months, sapper groups cleared about 130 hectares of land in Artsakh

The State Service of Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) published a reference on the work done by sapper groups.

According to it, from September 27, 2020 to August 27, 2021 inclusive, the sapper groups of the Rescue Forces Department of the State Service of Emergency Situations, as a result of engineering research, found and neutralized from the territory of the Artsakh Republic:

1513 explosives, 59 anti-tank mines, 10 anti-personnel missiles, 84 mines, 919 missiles, 3143 rocket-propelled grenades, 2059 anti-aircraft missiles, 9319 artillery shells, 2391 small-caliber ammunition, 1411 anti-tank grenade launchers.

Exploration continues. As a rule, the ammunition that is not subject to transport is destroyed on the spot, in other cases, the sappers of the State Service of Emergency Situations transport the ammunition found and destroy it in a safer area.

Over the past 11 months, the service's sapper groups have cleared about 130 hectares of land, including a residential area of agricultural significance, as well as a forested area.
