US President Joe Biden on Monday called his meeting with Turkish leader Tayyip Erdogan positive and productive, and expressed confidence in achieving ‘real progress’ in US-Turkish relations, TASS reports.
“I just finished my meeting with Turkish President Erdogan. We had a positive and productive meeting. Basically, one-on-one,” the American leader said at a press conference in Brussels after the NATO summit.
“Our teams are going to continue our discussions and I'm confident we'll make real progress with Turkey and the United States,” Biden added.
He said that he had discussed with Erdogan how the two countries would “proceed further on a whole range of issues.”
“Our two countries have a big agenda,” the president said.
