It is very difficult to do the calculation of the victims, because the existence of every victim is difficult, because the arithmetic exercise is not appropriate here, but as of today, we have 3,621 victims confirmed by the death certificates, 321 people in the list of the missing. The Prime Minister said this at the National Assembly, answering MP Karapet Mkhchyan’s question, concerning the information we have about the victims.
The Prime Minister also said that they have 201 bodies or relics under DNA examination, more than 100 identified bodies that have been identified with specific relatives, however, the relatives, for various reasons, still refuse to accept that fact, which is understandable.
“Many of our compatriots believe that their relatives are alive, they are captives. There are families who do not trust the results of DNA testing, they initiate DNA testing abroad on their own initiative, although we are willing to carry out such cases with state funds, but there are cases when they say, let the process be under our control,” said the Prime Minister.
After answering the question, at Pashinyan’s suggestion, those present observed a minute of silence in memory of the victims.
