A trilateral meeting of the Prosecutors General of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan took place in Moscow

On the initiative of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, a trilateral meeting was held on January 12 between the RA Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan Kamran Aliyev and the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov in Moscow. Arthur Davtyan is in Moscow to take part in the events organized on the occasion of the Day of the Employee of the Russian Prosecutor's Office.
 
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the formation of further contacts in the international legal field. 
 
In this context, as a guarantee of the international legal cooperation, Arthur Davtyan raised the need to implement the 8th point of the trilateral declaration on the ceasefire signed on November 9, 2020 as soon as possible, to return Armenian prisoners of war and other detainees to Armenia as soon as possible. As well as the issue of guaranteeing their life and health, ensuring their other rights.
 
The RA Prosecutor General stressed that the return of prisoners of war and civilians will be an important guarantee for the fulfillment of the other agreements reached in the tripartite declaration and the strengthening of peace in the region.
