The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent a message of condolences on the death of famous actor, People's Artist of the USSR Armen Jigarkhanyan, which reads:
"The great Armenian intellectual Armen Jigarkhanyan is no longer with us. I fondly remember last year meeting with the famous actor in his apartment in Moscow, during which he spoke with great warmth about his desire to visit homeland. Unfortunately, health did not allow it.
Armen Jigarkhanyan enjoys great love and popularity not only among Armenians but also among other peoples, and we are proud to have a compatriot like him. With his many roles, he will always remain in our history as an exceptional figure of an intellectual and an Armenian.
I share the grief of the master's family, colleagues, fans and everyone at this great loss".
