The National Security Service of Armenia, pursuing the realization of the functions reserved to it by the law against crime and fight against corruption, as a result of operational and search measures and investigation activities has revealed ceases of abuse of power against the interests of official obligations, official document forgery and large bribery offered to an official.
According to the data, two Armenian citizens falsified official documents, including technical inspection coupons and licenses for the operation of liquid gas cylinders to sell them to foreigners in the territory of the Yerevan Traffic Police Department at a price of 5,000-15,000 drams from January 2018 to 4 October, 2019. However, on October 4, they were arrested as a result of operational-intelligence measures taken by the NSS officers.
A criminal case has been opened under the relevant article of Armenia’s Criminal Code at the Investigation Department of the RA NSS.
A preliminary probe is underway.
