The former alumni of orphanages living in the half-ruined buildings subject to demolition have no hairs and no hope of repairing their ramshackle apartments. The textile factory of Gyumri, which provided thousands of people with work during the Soviet years, sheltered also the employees below poverty line. They have been offered to move from their residence. Many accepted the offer of compensation and left the building, others still live there.
