If before the decision of providing asylum was appealed to the President of Armenia, the bill proposes to carry out the appeal in juridical order.
On the second day of the four-day session, the Armenian Parliament discussed the bill on providing political asylum, which is a requirement of the new Constitution. Starting from next year, according to the reforms of the Mother Law, the newly elected President will not have the power to provide asylum. The right will be transferred to a state authority. If before the decision of providing asylum was appealed to the President of Armenia, the bill proposes to carry out the appeal in juridical order.
