Armenia can become a good platform for the Russian capital to enter large international markets. The free economic zone of Meghri and GSP+ can significantly contribute to it, as stated PM Karen Karapetyan during the reception of the delegation, headed by First Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russia Gleb Nikitin. The Russian side sees a large perspective of investment programs in Armenia, noting the importance of the possibilities offered by the free economic zone on Iran’s border. Nikitin considers especially noteworthy the sectors of radioelectronics, machinery, agriculture production and industry. PM Karen Karapetyan urged not to forget about the high-tech potential of Armenia and reminded that we have organizations, whose branches work in the Silicon Valley and not vice versa.
