Official Stepanakert denied information disseminated by Azerbaijan about Armenia’s alleged shooting on their settlements. Defense Army has never targeted residential areas, Artsakh president’s spokesperson Davit Babayan informed “Armenpress”. As he points out, if it is not Azerbaijan who keeps on violating ceasefire, then how come it does not agree on increasing number of observers on the border?
“Azerbaijan hosts a treacherous policy, by deploying its units and artillery near settlements almost in all the cases, and targets our positions right from there. Armenian side is never targeting residential areas. In case the military units are too close to hospitals, for instance, we refrain from firing in that direction. Azerbaijan is simply willing to create a scene of a terror attack, this way proving it was Artsakh to blame for”.
