A series of important meetings are scheduled in the capital Doha. President Sargsyan held a private talk to Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani. Serzh Sargsyan highlighted Armenia’s unique relations to the Arab world being based on century old friendship, and mentioned about our country’s interest in strengthening high level political dialogue with Qatar as well as deepening cooperation in other sectors.
The parties also discussed the possibility of visa liberalization between the two countries, the prospects for developing partnership with Qatar airlines, stressing the importance of expansion of legal framework and conduction of intergovernmental Commission sessions.
At President Sargsyan’s suggestion Emir of Qatar has assigned Minister of Economy to meet with his Armenian counterpart to thoroughly discuss the potential and prospects of developing bilateral relations in trade and economy.
