Nana Bakuradzevi, a teacher from Marneuli region, Georgia has been dismissed for the reason of having doubted the existence of Azerbaijani ethnos, stating that Azeris are in fact Persians. Azerbaijani students got offended: they went forward and recorded the teacher’s speech and went viral. Azerbaijani community has submitted a petition to Georgian Ministry of Education. The teacher was fired shortly after.
