The 90 years old Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra starts its jubilee concert season. The 2015-2016 concert season will be launched with the 9th Yerevan music festival. It is intended to take place in the National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after A. Spendiarian on September 10.
There will be concerts dedicated to the centennial of the Armenian Genocide during the festival. "This festival has become an important event of the musical art" said the musical director of the Philharmonic Orchestra Eduard Topchjan during his meeting with journalists.
The soloist of the launch concert of the festival is Vadim Repin. With his violin made in 1743 Repin conquered the best stages of the world. Now he is in Yerevan to support his Armenian colleagues with his music and participation.
