The ISIS fighters are predominantly killed by the US air force strikes, as well as during clashes with the Kurdish volunteer corps and Iraqi army.
The increasing danger by the terrorist group made the UN concerned, as well. The major world body warned that in case Kobane falls, some 12.000 people might be slaughtered by the Islamists.
The UN also urged Turkey to let the Kurdish corps pass into Syria and help the Kobane self-defense. 40 % of the Kobane territory has fallen under Islamist control by now.
