Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Arab states accredited to Armenia, Government’s Press Office reports.
The Prime Minister attached importance to the development of relations and deepening of cooperation with Arab states, emphasizing that strong historical and cultural ties have been formed between Armenia and Arab countries. In particular, Nikol Pashinyan noted that the Government of the Republic of Armenia is interested in promoting new initiatives aimed at deepening political, diplomatic and economic ties.
The parties touched upon the efforts aimed at ensuring peace and stability in the region. In this context, the interlocutors emphasized the importance of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan as a result of the summit held in Washington on August 8, 2025.
The Ambassadors expressed gratitude for organizing a meeting in such a format, noting that it will contribute to effective dialogue and discussion of issues of mutual interest.
They exchanged views on steps aimed at unblocking regional communication channels, including work aimed at implementing the TRIPP project.
They also touched upon the 17th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), to be held in Armenia in October this year. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of the active participation of delegations from Arab states in the planned events.
