The exchange of strikes between the United States and Iran has continued for a twelfth consecutive day. U.S. forces have targeted Iran's naval capabilities, missile and drone storage facilities, coastal surveillance posts, and air defense systems. According to the U.S. Central Command, more than 50,000 American servicemen are currently stationed in the Middle East.
Iran, in turn, has struck U.S. military facilities in Jordan and Kuwait. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had prevented three oil tankers from transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stated that if Iran cannot sell its oil in the region, then no one will.
"Either everything, or nothing," he said, adding that security in the Strait of Hormuz is possible only in the absence of U.S. forces.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi also declared that any aggression against Iran would be met with a decisive response, and that countries facilitating such aggression would be regarded as legitimate targets.
