On July 21, Head of the Military Police of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Major General Ashot Zakaryan, received at the Military Police headquarters a delegation led by Major General Shalva Shengelia, Head of the Military Police Department of the Georgian Defence Forces. The delegation is on a three-day visit to Armenia aimed at exchanging experience and enhancing cooperation in the field of military policing, the Ministry of Defense reported.
During the meeting, reaffirming the agreements reached in October of last year, the sides presented the structure, functions, and operational specifics of their respective units. They also discussed opportunities to expand cooperation, exchange experience, and strengthen partnership relations.
The delegation members then toured the Military Police facilities. At the conclusion of the visit, the heads of the two institutions jointly planted a fir tree in the "Fir Grove" as a symbol of the continued cooperation and friendship between the military police forces of Armenia and Georgia.
