The Russian Armed Forces launched massive strikes on military-industrial and fuel industry facilities in Kyiv and the surrounding region, as well as on the infrastructure of military airfields in the Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kyiv regions, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that as of 8:00 a.m., at least 11 people had been killed and 56 injured in the Russian airstrike. Seven civilians were rescued alive from the rubble.
More than 20 residential buildings were damaged across Kyiv. A nine-story apartment building in the Darnytskyi district was destroyed. Seventeen people were rescued, while one fatality and several missing persons have been reported.
