On July 1, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan, the Committee members Maria Karapetyan, Eduard Aghajanyan and the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration Arman Yeghoyan met with the delegation led by the Chair of the Sub-Committee on Crisis Prevention, Strategic Predictions, Stability and Peace Boosting, the Member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the German Bundestag Johannes Volkmann.
Welcoming the guests, Sargis Khandanyan valued the expanding cooperation with Germany. The Committee Chair spoke about the close inter-parliamentary relations, emphasizing the effective cooperation of the committees and friendship groups.
As Arman Yeghoyan assessed, especially in recent years, the Armenia-Germany cooperation at various levels has deepened. Referring to the close relations between Armenia and the EU, the Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration highlighted the development of cooperation in the economic sphere with the EU member state Germany.
The members of the German Bundestag congratulated the RA NA deputies on the successful holding of the parliamentary elections held on June 7.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged ideas on regional developments and opportunities for deepening bilateral cooperation.
