“I will not disclose my views regarding the election of the National Assembly Speaker because the Civil Contract party will hold a meeting today, where we will make a decision. One of the nominated candidates will be selected through a closed, secret ballot. Once a candidate is chosen, the public will be informed,” Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said during a government briefing.
“Our plan is that at today’s meeting we will listen to the candidates, ask questions, exchange views, and make a decision. I will cast my vote in a closed, secret ballot, as will my colleagues,” he said.
As for the composition of the executive branch, Pashinyan noted that, in general, there will be no changes among government members, including deputy prime ministers and ministers, although some changes will take place at other levels.
In this context, Pashinyan recalled that he had issued a statement inviting graduates of the world’s top 200 universities to join the government’s personnel reserve. If there are candidates who share the government’s vision and meet the required criteria, they will be offered positions within the state system.
