Reuters. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday (June 8) said that Israel will 'respond with force' if Iran attacks it again.
In a video statement, Netanyahu added that that he will not tolerate nor accept what he describes as a 'new equation' that Iran and Hezbollah are trying to 'force' on Israel, where Israeli fire in Lebanon is met with Iranian retaliation missile barrages.
Earlier on Monday, Iran and Israel said they had halted attacks on each other after an appeal from U.S. President Donald Trump, though Tehran said it would resume strikes if Israel continued to hit Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The wave of attacks over the last 24 hours were the most direct confrontation between Iran and Israel since an April ceasefire, threatening to wreck Washington's efforts to reach an agreement with Tehran to end their more than three-month-old war.
