The European Union expects to approve the text of the Partnership Priorities with Azerbaijan by the end of the year, EU Ambassador to Azerbaijan Marijana Kujundzic told Report.
She said Azerbaijan and the EU have preliminarily completed the alignment of the Partnership Priorities document and have officially resumed negotiations on a new bilateral agreement.
"The document will be sent to Brussels, after which a lengthy approval procedure will follow, but we expect to complete this process by the end of the current year," Kujundzic said.
She also noted that negotiations on the Partnership and Cooperation Agreement have already begun.
According to her, the document is a broad framework requiring time for coordination.
"As with any framework agreement, this is a normal negotiation process," the ambassador added.
