On June 2, within the framework of the 5th Ministerial Conference on Feminist Diplomacy held in Madrid, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Abisoghomonyan held a meeting with the Secretary-General of UN Tourism, Shaikha Nasser Al Nowais. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.
Following up on the meeting held in Andorra in March of this year, the interlocutors reaffirmed their mutual readiness to further develop the existing cooperation between Armenia and UN Tourism and discussed the implementation process of the agreements reached.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Robert Abisoghomonyan emphasized the importance of the Organization’s activities aimed at developing the capacities of the Republic of Armenia. The importance of fully utilizing the existing potential of medical tourism in Armenia was also highlighted.
Referring to the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Convention on Biological Diversity to be hosted by Armenia, the parties underscored the importance of the active involvement of UN Tourism and the implementation of joint initiatives.
