Dear Children,
I congratulate you on the Occasion of International Children’s Day.
June 1 is an important occasion to once again reaffirm that ensuring the rights of every child constitutes one of the foremost obligations of the State and society. The full realization of children’s rights is possible only in an environment where safety, respect for dignity, access to education, equal opportunities, and the right to participation are ensured.
Every child must be heard and protected within the family, educational and other institutions, and in all spheres of public life.
Any manifestation of violence, discrimination against children, as well as any other violation of their rights, is unacceptable. Ensuring the best interests of the child must underpin every decision and action.
Dear Children,
You are full-fledged holders of rights. Know your rights and, with due regard to legal and ethical principles, freely express your views and actively participate in discussions and decision-making processes concerning matters that affect you. Your safe, dignified, and harmonious development is one of the most important prerequisites for every democratic and rights-based society.
Dear Colleagues and Citizens,
This day is also serves as a call to all adults to be more responsible and consistent in protecting children’s rights and to foster an environment in which every child has the opportunity to develop, receive an education, engage in creative activity, and fully realize his or her potential.
Dear Children,
I wish you a peaceful, safe, and happy childhood, good health, new accomplishments, and a path filled with success.
