Ukraine is maintaining active diplomatic engagement while continuing to strengthen its defense capabilities, said President Volodymyr Zelenskiy in his evening address.
Zelenskiy said that preparedness for the coming winter is essential and directly linked to the country’s position in negotiations. He also highlighted discussions with military leadership on countering “Shahed” drones and other aerial threats, particularly in frontline and high-risk regions.
According to Zelenskiy, Ukraine is working to scale up production of interceptor systems and improve defenses against more advanced jet-powered variants.
On the diplomatic front, he said Ukraine is coordinating with European partners to unblock a new support package and maintain sanctions against Russia. He warned that delays in sanctions decisions could weaken European unity and embolden Moscow.
