Reuters. French President Emmanuel Macron arrived at Seoul Air Base in South Korea on Thursday (April 2) for a two-day state visit following his trip to Japan.
Macron is expected to visit the War Memorial in Seoul later on Thursday, and have dinner with South Korean president Lee Jae Myung at the Blue House.
The French leader will hold a summit with Lee on Friday (April 3) to discuss trade, investment and artificial intelligence (AI), said the Blue House.
Lee said ties with France must go beyond partnership and become a pursuit of strategic collaboration that includes AI and nuclear energy which are key to innovation, according to a text of his comments to Le Figaro released on Thursday.
