U.S. President Donald Trump does not rule out any option for further action against Iran, including the deployment of American troops in the country, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
She noted that Trump will decide what Iran’s capitulation should look like.
“President Trump will decide when Iran will unconditionally capitulate and cease to pose a real and immediate threat to the United States and our allies,” the White House press secretary clarified.
She also confirmed that at this time the U.S. Navy is not escorting any tankers through the Strait of Hormuz. Leavitt insisted that the rise in fuel prices in the United States is temporary and that in the long term, after the end of the conflict, they will fall.
