The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has stated that following an Iranian strike, the U.S. aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln was forced to leave its deployment location and head toward the Indian Ocean.
“After the attack, the vessel moved toward the Indian Ocean from the location where it had been carrying out its mission,” Iran’s state broadcaster Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting reported, citing the IRGC press service.
The IRGC said the attack on the aircraft carrier was carried out using four cruise missiles.
In addition, it was reported that Iran’s Aerospace Forces destroyed a THAAD missile defense system in Ar-Ruwais, located in the United Arab Emirates, with a missile strike.
