Member of Parliament from the 'Civil Contract' faction of the National Assembly, Sargis Khandanyan, addressed the ongoing negotiations between Moscow and Yerevan regarding the renovation of two sections of Armenia’s railway during a briefing.
In response to a journalist’s observation that the railway sections under Russian management, whose renovation is necessary for the overall unblocking process, have already been fixed to be carried out by the Russian side, Sargis Khandanyan said he could not make such a statement or confirm it.
“Negotiations are underway, and you know that for Armenia the most essential thing is that this be carried out quickly, because we need to unblock our infrastructures with our neighbors as soon as possible. Therefore, regarding the timelines and details, I think we should see and receive the Russian side’s perceptions and then make a decision.
As for what stage the negotiations are at, I cannot say,” he stated.
