Azerbaijan will never allow its territory, including its airspace, to be used to carry out attacks against Iran, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi. The statement was released by the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Bayramov noted that Baku’s position is principled and unwavering. Azerbaijan opposes actions and rhetoric that could lead to the destabilization of the situation within and around Iran.
Earlier, the US President stated that large American forces are moving toward Iran. Trump is also discussing the possibility of carrying out targeted strikes against Iran’s security services and leadership.
