Cuba’s new ambassador to Armenia, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo (stationed in Astana), presented a copy of his credentials to Deputy Foreign Minister Robert Abisoghomonyan.
Abisoghomonyan congratulated the ambassador and wished him a productive tenure during his responsible mission.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to both the bilateral and multilateral agendas, emphasizing the mutual importance of expanding cooperation in areas of shared interest, according to a readout.
International and regional issues were also addressed. The Deputy Foreign Minister briefed the ambassador on developments in the South Caucasus, highlighting the importance of institutionalizing the peace established in the region. The need to implement projects aimed at enhancing regional connectivity was also underscored.
