Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan met with Giulio Centemero, Head of the Italy-Armenia Friendship Group of the Italian Chamber of Deputies, and Piero Fassino, a member of the aforesaid group and a rapporteur on Armenia in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE).
The parties noted with satisfaction the continuously developing effective cooperation between the parliaments of Armenia and Italy in recent times. Besides, the importance of interparliamentary cooperation in the development and strengthening of bilateral ties was emphasized.
The strategic agenda of the Armenia-EU partnership was touched upon as well during the meeting.
Kostanyan briefed his interlocutors on the developments in the South Caucasus, and the priorities of Armenia's foreign policy in the conditions of peace established in the region.
Thoughts were exchanged also on programs aimed at developing regional connectivity, including new opportunities expected as a result of the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project.
