Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Aykhan Hajizade commented on the MFA’s position regarding the framework document on the implementation of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) project, which was published on January 13 during the Armenian Foreign Minister’s visit to the United States.
“The adoption of this document, on the one hand, reaffirms the commitment of the American side to the agreements reached at the summit held in Washington on August 8, and on the other hand, constitutes an important step toward the launch of the practical implementation of those agreements. At the same time, the document is of essential significance in terms of the fulfillment of the obligations undertaken by Armenia,” Aykhan Hajizade said.
He noted that ensuring unobstructed communication between the main territory of Azerbaijan and its Nakhijevan Autonomous Republic is one of the country’s key priorities.
“The TRIPP route is also important for the diversification of trade, transport, and communication links on a broader regional scale,” the Azerbaijani MFA Spokesperson added.
