Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin has been summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia. He was handed a protest note expressing deep indignation over statements made during the broadcast of a program that is part of a state television company. Ani Badalyan, Spokesperson for the MFA, told 'Lurer' in response to an inquiry.
“It was emphasized that these statements constitute an unacceptable encroachment on the sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia and a hostile manifestation, and grossly violate the fundamental principles of friendly relations between Armenia and Russia,” the MFA said.
It should be recalled that Russian host Vladimir Solovyov had stated that “losing Armenia is not in Russia’s interests, and that Russia should not only conduct a special military operation in Ukraine, but also in territories within Russia’s zone of influence, disregarding international law.”
