Iran has reaffirmed its readiness to develop strategic dialogue with Armenia.
Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei stated that Tehran intends to develop relations with Yerevan on the basis of national interests.
Commenting on Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s statement about the desire to sign a strategic cooperation document, Baghaei emphasized that relations with Armenia are based on mutual interests. “We are determined to strengthen cooperation in various fields,” the official noted.
Baghaei added that Iran respects the right of states to cooperate with other partners, provided that this does not harm relations with Tehran.
