Significant progress has been made in the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia in 2025. This was stated by Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov while presenting the final report of the past year.
“In November, a meeting on border delimitation between the Azerbaijani and Armenian sides was held in Gabala. Previously, such meetings were held online. Transit of Kazakh grain to Armenia was allowed through the territory of Azerbaijan. Meetings of civil society representatives were held in both countries as part of confidence-building measures,” he noted.
According to the diplomat, in order to reach a final peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, the provisions on territorial claims should be removed from the Armenian Constitution.
Bayramov emphasized that the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia this year has become an important step towards establishing stable peace in the region. According to him, the Washington summit made a significant contribution to this process.
