During a government briefing, concerns voiced by Iran regarding the TRIPP project were addressed. In response to a question on whether there are any unresolved issues with the neighboring country within the framework of cooperation, Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that large-scale projects always have unresolved questions and always “generate new ones”.
“The TRIPP project is such a large-scale issue that at every stage, once we clarify and resolve one question, new questions will emerge that we need to think about. We resolve those, and new questions emerge again. When TRIPP begins operating in practice, when the railway is in place, the gas pipeline, the oil pipeline, electricity transmission lines, and highways, there will still be questions that we will need to work on”, he said.
Responding to another question about what steps can be expected next year in terms of developing cooperation with Iran and whether a strategic document will be signed, Pashinyan said: “Our relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran are at a very high level, and we also have the desire to sign a strategic partnership document with the Islamic Republic of Iran”.
