Head of Armenia's Prime Minister’s Office Arayik Harutyunyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Armenia, Alexandra Cole.
Arayik Harutyunyan noted that Armenia values the strengthening ties with the United Kingdom and stated that, with the recent decision to elevate bilateral relations to the level of a strategic partnership, the two sides are entering a new phase of cooperation.
The Head of the Prime Minister’s Office expressed confidence that this will give new impetus to the strengthening of multifaceted ties between the two countries and to the implementation of joint programs. Arayik Harutyunyan also emphasized the continued support of the UK Government in strengthening democratic institutions in Armenia.
Alexandra Cole stressed that her country likewise attaches great importance to the consistent development of relations with Armenia and to raising the level of cooperation. The Ambassador expressed confidence that bilateral ties will expand and deepen in various directions in the coming years.
The sides exchanged views on the organization of the European Political Community summit to be held in Armenia next year and the work being carried out in that direction. They also touched upon cooperation in advancing the agenda of the Armenian Government’s reforms, strategic communication, the development of civil society, and other areas.
