Arman Khojoyan, Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, met with Kaveh Zahedi, Director of the FAO Office for Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment. Raimund Jehle, FAO Representative in Armenia, also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues related to biodiversity, particularly agrobiodiversity. The role of sustainable agriculture in the development of agrobiodiversity and the stabilization of ecosystems was emphasized.
The parties also touched upon programs being implemented in the agricultural sector aimed at introducing resource-saving technologies, ensuring efficient management of land resources, and having a positive impact on the preservation of agrobiodiversity.
The sides highlighted the importance of continued and effective cooperation between the Republic of Armenia and FAO.
