Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, held a meeting with Irene Fellin, NATO Secretary General's Special Representative for Women, Peace and Security.
At the request of Irene Fellin, the Secretary of the Security Council presented statistics on the involvement of women in the governance and decision-making processes in Armenia, emphasizing that the Armenian government is taking active steps to expand their participation, including in the security sector, Grigoryan’s office said in a press release.
Both sides emphasized the importance of women's participation and the need for their voices to be heard in policy-making, negotiations, and security matters.
During the meeting, the sides also discussed the agenda and ongoing programs of the Armenia-NATO bilateral cooperation.
