Armenia's Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Kristine Ghalechyan met with Frank Hess, Head of the Cooperation Section at the EU Delegation to Armenia, and Sonia Lopez, an attaché from the same department.
The officials discussed Armenia–EU infrastructure development projects, the ministry said in a press release.
The parties reviewed a number of priority road construction projects, including the Sisian–Kajaran section of the North–South Road Corridor, the Kajaran Tunnel, and the Gyumri bypass road, which are of strategic importance for developing the country’s transport connections and accommodating increasing traffic flows.
Both sides emphasized that the implementation of these projects will contribute to the modernization of Armenia’s transport infrastructure, economic growth, and the expansion of regional connectivity.
