We have long proclaimed a balanced and balancing foreign policy, and there are assessments that, amid this heated geopolitical period, we have managed to maintain equilibrium, said Armenia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, during the international conference titled 'Orbeli Forum: Building Peace and Multilateral Cooperation.'
The Minister recalled that Armenia has a strategic partnership with the United States, a strategic dialogue and growing partnership with the United Kingdom, and is significantly deepening its relations with the European Union and several of its member states, while also maintaining a partnership with the Russian Federation.
“We have repeatedly emphasized the great importance we attach to relations with our immediate neighbors. Of our four neighbors, we have excellent relations with Georgia and Iran, and we are trying to normalize relations with Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Peace with Azerbaijan has been established, and we are working on the remaining components. With Turkey, we have a very intensive dialogue. I am highly optimistic that we can gradually achieve tangible results. Listing further, we move on to Central Asia and up to China, with which we have once again declared a strategic partnership,” Mirzoyan elaborated.
