In addition to Kazakh wheat, wheat of Russian origin is now also being transported by rail through the territory of Azerbaijan to Armenia, Deputy Parliament Speaker Ruben Rubinyan reports.
“This means that not only from Kazakhstan, but also from the Russian Federation, for the first time since the early 1990s, something is being imported to Armenia by rail through the territory of Azerbaijan.
This is what peace looks like. This is what moving forward means,” he stated.
It should be reminded that on October 21, 2025, during his state visit to Kazakhstan, the President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, announced that Azerbaijan had lifted all restrictions on the transit of goods to Armenia. According to that statement, a train loaded with grain moved toward Armenia through the territory of Azerbaijan.
From the Russian Federation, through the territories of Azerbaijan and Georgia, 15 wagons carrying a total of 1,048 tons and 800 kilograms of grain were processed for transit and sent to Armenia’s Dalarik station.
