Reuters. U.S. President Donald Trump said on Wednesday (October 15) that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has assured him India will not buy Russian oil.
"So I was not happy that India was buying oil, and he assured me today that they will not be buying oil from Russia. That's a big step. Now we're going to get China to do the same thing," Trump told reporters.
With Russia and Ukraine locked into a draining drone and artillery war of attrition for a fourth year, the economy is becoming a major area of competition between the West and Russia.
