On September 17, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev declared the extremely high danger of nuclear armageddon. He said this during his speech at the VIII Congress of World and Traditional Religions in Astana.
"The risk of nuclear conflict is a concern. Experts estimate the probability of such an Armageddon as the highest in recent decades. Unfortunately, instead of constructive initiatives and a policy of detente, confrontational thinking is gaining momentum in the world," Tokayev said, quoted by Tengrinews.
The President of Kazakhstan also warned about the risks of trade and sanctions wars and urged countries to rely on diplomacy to resolve conflicts.
